Binding offers: accepted means paid

You accepted the offer, marked the pedal sold, and then nothing. FuzzSwap's planned binding offers make “accepted” mean “paid”, with no chasing and no relisting.

Buyer makes an offer

Their card is held for the offer + shipping + tax. Nothing is charged yet.

Why it matters

On a typical marketplace, an accepted offer is a promise: the buyer still has to come back and pay within a window, and if they don't, the order is cancelled and your item is relisted. Meanwhile your gear sat marked sold. A binding offer secures the funds first, so the promise and the payment are the same moment.

Binding is a per-listing seller choice. It uses ordinary card authorization (the same “hold” a hotel places), so it works with cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We don't make a cent from disputes, unpaid orders or penalty fees.

Binding offers FAQ

What should I do when a buyer accepts an offer and never pays?

On most marketplaces you message the buyer, wait out the platform's payment window, then cancel and relist. That can tie up your gear for days while other interested buyers move on. Binding offers are designed so that can't happen: there is no accepted offer without money behind it.

What is a binding offer?

On FuzzSwap, a binding offer means the buyer's card is held when they make the offer and charged the moment the seller accepts. Sellers choose per listing whether offers are off, standard or binding.

Isn't holding a card risky for buyers?

A hold isn't a charge. If the seller declines or doesn't answer within the response window (max 72 hours), the hold is released. Buyers only pay when the seller accepts the exact amount they offered.

Do binding offers cost extra?

No. There are no penalty fees, and we don't make a cent from disputes or unpaid orders. You pay your normal tier fee only when a sale completes.

Can buyers pay a binding offer with crypto?

Binding offers launch with card holds. Crypto payments are planned as an option at checkout; whether they can back a binding offer is still being designed.

Sell where accepted means paid

One account buys and sells. The first 100 to join start at the Trusted tier when they sell: a 4% seller fee instead of 5%, plus card processing at cost. Import and verify your sales history from another marketplace and you start at 4% too.
