How deals work on FuzzSwap

Buyers and sellers deal directly, with as little of FuzzSwap in the middle as possible. Here's how buying, ratings and disputes work, and the few things FuzzSwap does step in for.

  1. Step 1

    Check the seller

Every listing shows the seller's verified rating (or "New seller") and their own returns and refunds policy, "No returns" or "Not stated" included.

  2. Step 2

    Pay the seller directly

Crypto goes straight from your wallet to theirs. There's no escrow and no FuzzSwap guarantee or refund, so decide on the rating and the policy.

  3. Step 3

    Something wrong? Message the seller

Most problems are settled this way. Keep it in writing.

  4. Step 4

    Still stuck? Open a dispute

From the order on your dashboard. It quotes the seller's policy and opens a thread between you and the seller.

  5. Step 5

Fraud, abuse or a Terms violation?

Tick the box on the dispute form, or report the listing. FuzzSwap reviews these and can suspend accounts or hide listings. It can't move money.

  6. Step 6

    Rate each other

After a completed order, buyer and seller each leave one on-chain rating. Genuine ratings are never hidden; the rated person can reply once.

Common questions

How do I buy something?

Open the listing and make an offer or ask the seller a question (you'll need a free account so they can reply). Offers aren't binding and nothing is charged by FuzzSwap: you and the seller agree on payment and shipping directly.

How do I pay safely?

FuzzSwap is peer-to-peer: you pay the seller directly and FuzzSwap doesn't hold the money or guarantee the deal. Before you pay, check the seller's verified rating and their returns and refunds policy on the listing, keep your messages, and be wary of anyone who pushes you to pay in a way you can't reverse. Crypto direct pay can't be reversed. Meeting locally? Meet in a public place and try the gear first.

Does FuzzSwap hold my payment or guarantee the order?

No. Crypto direct pay goes from your wallet straight to the seller's wallet, with no escrow and no FuzzSwap guarantee or refund. Returns, refunds and disputes follow the seller's own policy, which is shown on every listing and at checkout ("Not stated" if the seller didn't set one).

Where do ratings come from?

Only from completed orders. After an order, the buyer can rate the seller and the seller can rate the buyer, once each. Each rating is signed by the rater's own wallet and recorded on the BSV blockchain, with a Verify on-chain link. Sellers with no ratings yet show as "New seller".

Can a bad rating be removed?

Not for being negative. FuzzSwap never hides genuine ratings. The rated person can post one public reply. Review text is removed only for Terms violations such as doxxing or slurs, and then it says "removed for ToS violation": the stars stay.

Something's wrong with my order. What do I do?

Message the seller first; most problems are sorted out that way. If not, open a dispute from the order on your dashboard. It goes to the seller with their own returns and refunds policy quoted, and you work it out together.

When does FuzzSwap get involved?

Only for fraud, abuse or Terms violations (fake listings, stolen gear, threats, doxxing). FuzzSwap can suspend accounts and hide listings. It doesn't hold payments, so it can't refund or move money.

What's the rating fee?

A few hundred satoshis on BSV payments: two tiny outputs in the payment, one for you and one for the seller, that later pay the network fee for each of your on-chain ratings. They stay in your own wallet if you never rate. MNEE and SOL orders pay the network fee from your BSV wallet when you rate.

Something went wrong. Who do I talk to?
