Mod service by Austin Brady Pilarski
ABP Mini SM57
The ABP Mini SM57 is a modified Shure SM57 from Austin Brady Pilarski, the founder of FuzzSwap. You ship in your own working SM57. Austin removes the handle and does a transformerless conversion, then ships it back. The result is a much smaller, lighter mic that tucks into crowded drum kits and other tight spots.

Turnaround
About one week: most mics ship back in about a week. Please allow up to three weeks.
What you get
- Length: 4.5 inches
- Weight: 142 to 147 grams (a stock SM57 is 157 mm and 284 g)
- More low end, with no honky mids or brittle highs, to the builder's ears
- Fits tight spots on crowded drum kits
- Pairs best with a preamp that has plenty of clean gain
What to send and how to pack it
Send: one working shure sm57.
- Send your own SM57 that works. A working mic gives the best result.
- Wrap the mic in bubble wrap or foam and put it in a small box with a little padding on every side.
- Leave out the mic clip, stand adapter and cable. They are not needed.
- Write your name and the email you used on the request inside the box.
- Austin replies by email with the ship-to address once your request is in. Please wait for that email before you ship.
Broken or not working?
Send a working SM57 for the best results. If yours is broken or not working, say so on the request. Austin can try a repair for an added charge, but repairs are not guaranteed, and he will tell you the added charge before doing any extra work.
